Treatment
options

Crowding, gaps, overbites, underbites and crossbites. What differs between these appliances is how visible treatment is, and how much of the work each one can do.

Dr. Emad Deen discussing treatment options with a patient

Two questions decide it.

Almost every orthodontic decision comes down to two things: what the case clinically needs, and how visible you are willing for treatment to be.
Tailored made options can be planned according to the patient's needs.

From first visit to retainer

01Consultation and records An examination, photographs, scans or impressions and x-rays where needed — enough to understand what is actually going on, rather than guess at it.
02Treatment plan You are shown the options that genuinely apply to your case, what each involves, the likely duration, and the cost — before anything is fitted.
03Active treatment Appliances are fitted and adjusted at regular intervals. Most patients are seen every six to ten weeks, depending on the appliance.
04Retention Appliances come off and retainers go in. This stage is what makes the result last — see patient education for what it involves.
